Stonehouse Cattery is a family run business. In 2008 we bought the 18th century farm house and decided to start a cattery. It was previously an animal sanctury and there was alot of work to do converting several of the barns to quality cat kennels. Innes, Derek's son was a big help in the first few years of starting the business.
The cattery is set in 15 acres of farmland in the village of Moorhouse. This is approximately two miles from Carlisle and a short distance from the Lake District National Park.
We are capable of looking after over 50 cats at any time. There are two large barns containing the main kennels and we also have two luxury houses.
